In defense of fanaticism

My husband and I are fanatic! We express it in different ways; but at the heart  is our family and our Lord. We are crazy fanatic for our children, and their future! We have foresight when it comes to these wonderful creations God gave to us! I lean on the side of caution, worry, and fear. I have to say "think on these things" 20 times a day (or more). My husband, on the other hand, has the gift of faith. He stands for principles no matter what. I look to him for strength when my faith is rather weak. I like the "proven" path. I research health stuff like crazy (for our family) and I always find the "proven" methods to try. What he does in his research in other various areas will eventually help people worldwide, the world is changing- quickly -  he is trouble shooting hard questions BEFORE HAND. (Kinda like the grasshopper and the ant., he is being the ant with his research and way of life he chooses- (all with our family first and foremost in mind) I want others to know that I may not comprehend all that he is fanatic about- but I appreciate his efforts! It takes bravery and guts to do what he does.

So my I phone has been reduced to an I pod these days.. It has been a real blessing.. In the car, I used to call my sisters and chat while in route. Now- I just pray! (Another thing I am fanatic about) and what am I praying for? You guessed it!! My family. I pray and pray and pray. It is a powerful thing to pray,it really just takes determination to decide to do it. Just do it! I encourage you! God will confirm and direct your path- all the things He wants you to become fanatic about will become crystal clear. I MEAN CRYSTAL. So. While the mockers mock, I will be proud to be equally yoked with a fanatic. The things that matter : Jesus, Family and you. Yep- each of you. I post scriptures, healthy ideas, and edification on my Facebook because I am also fanatic about my "network of friends" on Facebook. ( By the way, God is fanatic about you too) I pray you all find your passion and go after it fanatically, it is a great way to live! "In all that you do, do it unto The Lord and not for other 's approval." (Ruth's paraphrase of a scripture- yeah I do that) I am at a point in my life where I have to ask and answer a lot of very hard questions- but that is not a bad thing- it just  helps define me even more. Love conquers fear.
Serving others is a way to express love. God is showing me how what my husband does (as a blog talk radio host) is a way of serving - he is showing his love for humanity by getting all kinds of information out there for others to hear. I serve in a more practical way. I am a "Martha" so to speak. I go and get things done- I am a rabbit that makes things happen. We are very different, my husband and I, but these things remain. "Faith, hope, and love; and the greatest of these is love!" God bless you all on your own fanatic journeys! :-)
